Year round activity based therapy for people with long term illnesses
LifeDesigns ReAbility Center (LDRC) is a business dedicated to the improvement of the functional health and wellness of people with brain and spinal cord injuries and long term illnesses who have repeatedly not responded well to the traditional healthcare model for delivering physical medicine services. LDRC’s foundation is a precise understanding of functional health progression that can be measured, observed, and repeated. LDRC is a real world, functional activity-based restorative therapy (ABRT) program that has a unique capacity to increase mobility and independent living skills for people who have not been successful using prior plans of care. Through 30 years of extensive practical application, study, observation and the advancements in activity-based restorative therapies, LDRC determined that the needs of various populations differed in degree, not in kind. When exposed to LDRC’s prescription for training people with physical and neuro-endocrine disabilities (1-2 hour sessions 3-4 times per week for months and even years), these populations of all ages and ability levels reap the benefits of improved functional work capacity. This measurable and repeatable improvement in health and functional movement has led to the adoption of LDRC as functional health delivery system to be delivered nationally and worldwide.
